Aqara human body motion sensor P1/T1 Comparison

Aqara human body motion sensor P1/T1 Comparison

Comparison of Homekit Aqara human body motion sensor P1 and T1 Usage

--After using the Aqara P1 infrared sensor for a week, a comparison was made with the previous T1, and the user experience of the two sensors was similar. All of them are Zigbee 3.0 chips. When the gateway signal communication is good, there is no delay in the linkage with Xiaoyan's Qingying switch, and the response only takes 1 second. P1 is relatively slow to heat up, and when it is just connected, the reaction will be slower, taking about 3 seconds. However, after using automation for two or three times, the speed will be normal, and it will take about one second to react.

--Size: T1 may be slightly smaller than the new P1, but compared to other brands of sensors, it still has excellent appearance and size. Detection range: T1 is fixed at 7 meters, P1 has three adjustable levels, namely 5, 7, and 10 meters. The sensitivity is adjusted in the aqara app, and the official angles are all 170 degrees. During the use, I found that if it is installed horizontally, it cannot be detected when squatting down, and I need to adjust the angle slightly. Detection interval time: refers to the cooling time, which can be adjusted to 1 second for P1 and 2 seconds for T1 in the settings. However, in practical use, the cooling time should be more than 2 seconds. Generally, it is stuck in the time of turning off the lights. When observing in the app, it is necessary to wait for the end of this detection action before turning on the lights again. The biggest difference is that the P1 is said to have a battery life of up to 5 years, while the T1 only has 1-2 years.

--There is a problem when using Fp1 with the human body, which requires a person to enter the area for about 5 seconds before triggering the sensor. Previously, some friends mentioned that this is an official setting. In order to avoid triggering the light on when people pass by, and to speed up the light on, it is equipped with human infrared light on. But this combination will only cause the infrared light to turn on when passing by, but Fp1 has not been triggered yet. You have already left the area, and the light cannot be turned off by yourself. I will still solve this problem by setting shortcut commands.
